All it what's up, dad, Bastam Brock the Super Pilate, here, just hanging out in underground Sobuj Layer, I've got my socks on hanging out after a rough two-hour workday, this content. I want to try something new.
All right. So if you keep it up with my website, the last two weeks I've been releasing a lot of hot trials to help you make more affiliate commissions online. This content. I'm going to try something completely here. This is going to be an interactive video with your beats out there.
So I have a question for you. How did you make your first affiliate sale online and what? What was that feeling? What was that thought that went through your mind the moment that you logged into your affiliate account or your sales account and you saw that first sale?
So comment below and share how you were able to get that first sale and that feeling that kind of accompanied that first sale. So I'm going to break the ice and start it off alright. So when I was 14 years old there was this game called Diablo too, and the point of this game was basically to kill a bunch of monsters, make your character stronger, and when you killed those monsters they would drop Geer gear. That would help you progress throughout the game. Now, every once in a while those monsters would drop these rare items, which were actually worth money in the real world.
So I don't remember how exactly I discovered it. I think it was just kind of like on a whim. I went to B and I typed in the names of some of that gear that dropped in the game. So I found out that certain items in the game were worth hundreds of dollars. There was one item that I sold for 100 and 20 bucks, a bunch of ones that were worth like 15 and 60 bucks on.
All right. So I found out in the game there was kind of like a glitch, not really a glitch, but an exploit in the game, that a certain boss character would drop all those items that were worth like a 100 and $50 through a $100 so what I did was I geared up my character specifically to kill this one boss character.
All right. So every day I would go and I've run through the game and I'd kill this boss over and over again and each time I'd be making 50 a $100 it took me maybe 15 and 20 minutes of work, so all day I'd spend killing the dude, putting the items upon and making serious bank doing it all right. So during this time, this was the first time I ever made money online.
I learned three important lessons. Alright, lesson number one was that you could actually make money off of something that was imaginary. It was possible to make real money off of something that existed on a server on the internet. So that was a big mind opener to me. I learned right then that first sale. It clicked into my head. There's a lot of potentials to make money on all kinds of other stuff, because if people are buying stupid stuff like video game items, what else are they buying out there on the internet are?
The was the first thing I learned. The second thing I learned through that was that over the course of selling items on I realized I had repeat buyers. There would be buyers who would buy three or four items with me over a certain time period. So what I would do is I'd make a mental note of those buyers and whenever I found an expensive item, instead of going through the hassle of selling on, I'd contact those buyers directly through the game itself and sell those items directly. So I'd literally find the item and I'd be like all.
I'm the message. This guy and I go to sell it right then and there. So to sum it up, I learned that you could build a list of buyers and they were much easier to sell to repeatedly, rather than trying to find brand-new customers out on and selling items. One-off.
The third lesson I learned was through the course of this there was I had two buyers which were like my best buyers. I got the chatting with one of them and I was like so what do you do? I'm just curious. Why are you willing to exchange money for these items? And his response as well, I'm a high-powered attorney. I make a lot of money. I make like five, really told me I make 500 bucks an hour, and to get this item myself it's going to cost me two or three hours just to get this item on my own.
Little did he know you can get it in 15 minutes, but he was like it going to take me three or four hours to get this one item. So it's easier for me to just exchange 50 or 60 bucks to you and buy the item off you because it's going to save me two or three hours with a time which in my world is worth 1000 and $1500 so I learn through that lesson that people are willing to exchange money for time if you're able to save them time.
Time is more valuable to some people than it is to money. All right, so that that's what spurred my interest in making money online. I then took some of those lessons and applied them to a second company, which was a web hosting company that I started when I was, I think, 16 or 17. It ended up being really successful, but as the dumb kid that I was, I kind of lost control of it, like one month. It grew exponentially. I just couldn't keep up with it.
That'll be another video. Don't want to talk about that here. All right. So that's my story. That was how I made my first sale online. I remember that first sale I made man. That was better than like Christmas. It was almost like I was cheating the system, logging in, and seeing that first sale on eBay. Oh man, I remember it to this day. Very, very powerful stuff.
All right. So I just shared my story. What's your story? I'm always curious to know what other deadbeats are. What did you do to make your first affiliate sales or your first product sale, and what that feeling was like. What ticked in your head? What was that thought? That moment that you logged in to one of your affiliate accounts and realized that making money online was a real thing and a real business.
